Bitumen Drum Decanter (Drum Bitumen Melting Plant)
Metong bitumen drum decanter is designed to heat, melt, decant, and dewater bitumen packed in drums. It uses thermal oil as the heat-transfer medium, with thermal oil heating coils heating the bitumen throughout the melting and decanting process.
The bitumen drum decanter helps maintain stable bitumen heating quality and is suitable for different drum types. The system mainly consists of a decanter chamber, hydraulic drum loading mechanism, bitumen transfer system, and electrical control system.

Enclosed structure
The enclosed design helps contain fumes and material residue during bitumen melting. The hydraulic front door supports automatic opening and closing, while the spring-loaded rear door closes automatically. This design makes operation more convenient, improves heat retention, and helps reduce energy loss.

Fast drum loading & tilting
The hydraulic automatic drum-tilting system can load and tilt two bitumen drums within 30 seconds. Provided that manual drum opening keeps up with the loading speed, the system can complete loading and tilting of up to 24 drums within 10 minutes.

High thermal efficiency
Finned heating tubes are arranged around the drum chamber, increasing the heat-transfer area to twice that of ordinary seamless tubes for higher thermal efficiency.

Automatic residue discharge
The bitumen drum decanter is equipped with a high-capacity insulated bitumen pump. With internal circulation and external delivery functions, the system supports internal automatic residue discharge and external residue cleaning.

Easy relocation and installation
The containerized structure and hydraulic station quick couplings make the bitumen drum decanter easier to relocate and faster to assemble at different project sites.
